What is FKM?
“FKM” stands for Fluoroelastomer, which is a type of synthetic rubber that contains fluorine atoms in its polymer structure. Fluoroelastomers are known for their exceptional resistance to a wide range of chemicals, fuels, oils, and high temperatures. They are commonly used in applications that require sealing, gaskets, and components in harsh and demanding environments.
Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM) is a special type of elastomer that is resistant to extreme heat, oil, gasoline, hydraulic oil and hydrocarbon solvents. Very good resistance to oxygen, ozone, sunlight, very good impermeability to gases and vapours.
